The Pasco County School Board voted to cap our enrollment at 548 students this year. We have space to accommodate all registered students and then siblings. Once we finalize our enrollment number’s we will begin registering students from our lengthy wait list.

We are disappointed, but know our school will continue to set the bar for schools of choice in Pasco County.

Thank you to everyone for your support, and now let’s focus on the smiling faces of our students who arrive on August 16th.

Looking forward to a successful school year working with the Imagine families.

Dear Imagine Family,

It was three years ago that I wrote the charter application, helped secure the charter contract with Pasco School District,  and worked with other Imagine staff to open Imagine School at Land O Lakes.  Who would have guessed I’d have the opportunity to become its school leader?

Many thanks to John Selover for helping the School develop and thrive during its first two years.  There is so much to be proud of!

During the summer months, we all think about the past school year and the coming school year.  For me it’s especially important to learn from parents and staff what went well, what should stay the same, and what might need to be improved?  During the coming months I’ll be looking for your input and perspective.

To let you know a little bit about myself - I am a graduate of Bridgewater State College with a degree in Elementary/Special Education, and received my Masters Degree in Educational Administration from the University of Northern Colorado. My experiences include elementary classroom teaching, ESE teacher/specialist K-12, assistant principal and principal.  I enjoy traveling, reading, logic puzzles and spending time with friends and family.  In late 2000, my husband and I moved to Florida from Massachusetts and I discovered the world of charter schools.  During the last 9 years I’ve worked with Imagine Schools to open 11 new charter schools in Georgia and Florida.  Last year I was principal of the new Imagine School at Palmer Ranch in Sarasota.

I like to communicate regularly with parents, and send out a weekly e-mail newsletter blast. I encourage you to sign up for the e-newsletter!

I’ve also set up a Meet and Greet at the Land O Lakes Library on Wednesday, July 28 at 10:30 a.m. and at the Oakstead Clubhouse on Friday, July 30th at 6pm.  I hope you’ll be able to join me!

Sincerely,

Kathy Helean
